Care & Support

Who can access Little Lights Liverpool?

We provides specialist palliative care for babies and children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions, together with support for their families.

Referrals are usually made by healthcare professionals involved in your child’s care. If you’re unsure whether Little Lights Liverpool is the right service, please contact us and we’ll be happy to talk through your options.

Is there a cost for families?

No. All of our care and support is provided free of charge to families.

Do you only provide end of life care?

No. Many families receive support from Little Lights Liverpool for months or years. Our care includes planned respite, symptom management, therapies, family support, end of life care and bereavement support.

Can siblings receive support?

Yes. We support the whole family, including brothers and sisters, helping them understand, express their feelings and create special memories together.

Donations & Fundraising

How can I support Little Lights Liverpool?

There are lots of ways to get involved, including making a donation, fundraising, volunteering, joining our weekly lottery, taking part in an event or leaving a gift in your Will.

Can I organise my own fundraising event?

Absolutely. Whether it’s a bake sale, sponsored challenge or community event, we’d love to help make your fundraiser a success.

Where does my donation go?

Your support helps fund specialist nursing care, family support, therapies, play, bereavement care and the many services families rely on every day.

Volunteering

Do I need experience to volunteer?

Not always. Many volunteer roles don’t require previous experience. We’ll provide the guidance and support you need.

How do I register for an event?

Each event has its own page with information about registration, fundraising and everything you’ll need to take part.

Can I fundraise as part of an event?

Yes. Many of our events encourage participants to raise sponsorship, and we’ll support you with fundraising resources and advice.

Why did you change from Zoe’s Place?

In 2025, the Liverpool hospice became an independent charity, giving us the opportunity to choose a new name that reflected our future while honouring our history. ‘Little Lights’ represents the children at the heart of everything we do and the light they bring to their families and everyone around them. Although our name has changed, our team, care and commitment remain the same. We are proud to build on the legacy of Liverpool Zoe’s Place as we begin this exciting new chapter.

Where is Little Lights Liverpool?
