Meet the people who help guide Little Lights with care, experience and a shared commitment to the families we support.

Trustees

Our Trustees come from a wide range of professional backgrounds, bringing expertise in healthcare, finance, law, business, governance and the voluntary sector. They generously give their time and knowledge to help guide the charity, support our leadership team and ensure every decision is made with the best interests of the children and families we serve.

Karen Livesey - Chair of Trustees

Karen has worked at executive level in both the health and VCFSE sectors for the last 15 years. She spent a significant period of her career working in the VCFSE sector infrastructure. She has led the establishment of a Primary Care Network and has been a PCN National Board Member for the NHS Confederation. Karen has previously been a Director of Healthwatch Wirral and in 2019 along with a colleague, established a local social enterprise, One Wirral CIC. One Wirral CIC is a CQC registered health and wellbeing organisation that provides clinical and non-clinical services with a particular focus on health inequalities.

Dr Lynda Brook

Consultant in Paediatric Palliative Medicine Lynda has continued to research and publish in paediatric palliative medicine including working on Medicines for Children and as Specialist Advisor to the British National Formulary for Children until 2022.

Maureen Delahunty-Kehoe

Maureen has 25+ years’ commercial experience as a senior Manager. She has specialist knowledge of the Voluntary and Community Sector. She has run the office of Ian Byrne MP for over 5 years, bringing her knowledge and connection with Parliament. She also served as a Councillor on Liverpool City Council for 6 years. Maureen was a key member of the team working to keep Little Lights Liverpool open.

Matt Morris

Head of Charity at Home Bargains and oversees store charity merchandise and manages the annual charity budget. He has full responsibility over the Charity spending choices to keep a focus on causes that align with the Charity’s mission and values. He is a member of the Morris family who owns TJ Morris Ltd, trading as Home Bargains, which is the largest employer on Merseyside. Matthew has a personal commitment to raising funds for Zoe’s Place individually and through the charity.

Our Board of Trustees plays an important role in shaping our future. They are responsible for ensuring the charity is well governed, financially sustainable and always focused on providing the very best care for babies, children and their families.

Each Trustee brings a wealth of professional experience, alongside a shared commitment to supporting children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions and the families who love them.

Together, they help ensure Little Lights Liverpool remains true to its purpose, values and vision for the future.
