Christian joined as Chief Executive Officer of Little Lights in June 2026, bringing extensive board-level leadership experience across healthcare, sport, the third sector and highly regulated organisations. A pharmacist prescriber and experienced executive, Christian combines clinical knowledge with a strong track record in strategy, organisational transformation, governance and building high-performing teams.
I am proud to be the Head of Care & Family Service at Little Lights Baby Hospice, where I have had the privilege of working for the past five years. My background is as an Advanced Paediatric Nurse Practitioner, and I have over 30 years of experience in paediatric nursing, caring for babies, children, young people, and their families across a variety of healthcare settings, including community, oncology and palliative care.
I feel privileged to play a small part in creating a place where families can feel safe, calm and cared for during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. Having spent more than 10 years working in healthcare facilities throughout my career, I’ve learned that looking after a building is really about looking after the people within it.
I provide strategic leadership across finance, governance, business operations, and organisational development. With a long-standing background in the charity sector, I have supported organisations through periods of growth, change, and transformation, helping to build strong financial foundations and sustainable operational practices.
My role within the Income Generation Team is to deliver Events, Community Fundraising and Campaigns, as well as develop new opportunities to grow support for Little Lights. I really enjoy the people side of fundraising, getting to know our supporters, building genuine relationships and creating opportunities that people want to be part of, while helping people understand where their support goes and the difference it makes to the children we care for and their families.
In my role, I work closely with our corporate partners to create opportunities to support Little Lights and make a lasting difference to the children and families we care for. I enjoy working with businesses to find ways for them to get involved that genuinely work for them, whether through fundraising, events, employee engagement, volunteering or longer-term partnerships. Seeing businesses get behind our cause and knowing that their support helps us continue providing vital care is what makes my role so rewarding. I joined the Income Generation Team at Little Lights Liverpool in March 2022. I now manage Little Lights Liverpool’s volunteer programme, regular giving and lottery fundraising. As an Events Support Assistant, I help deliver fundraising events that engage supporters, strengthen relationships, and generate essential income. I support all aspects of event planning and delivery, from administration and logistics to event-day coordination. I'm passionate about creating positive experiences that encourage people to connect with and support our mission.
I joined Little Lights in 2025 and since then have seen the amazing support it provides for children and their families. As part of the team, I manage organisational data and business systems, ensuring the team has use of actionable insights to make the best decisions for the hospice, with systems that remain reliable while running smoothly. With process improvements, database management and systems administration, I support the team by configuring our software and technology to meet organisational needs.
I joined Little Lights Liverpool in September 2007, and I have thoroughly enjoyed my time working here. I provide help within the financial team. I take pride in being reliable, detail-oriented, and approachable, helping the team stay organized and building positive working relationships. I am known for my attention to details and dependable approach and strive to make a meaningful contribution every day.
As Deputy Head of Care and Education, I support our wonderful care team and work closely with children and families to make sure the care we provide is safe, compassionate and centred around what matters to them. I also have a real passion for teaching and developing others, particularly helping staff and families feel confident when caring for children with complex needs.
Before joining Little Lights in 2022, I spent 12 years working as a teacher, specialising in Early Years education. After leaving teaching, I ran my own business supporting children’s social and emotional development through creative activities and experiences. Helping children build confidence, express themselves and develop through play has always been at the heart of what I do.
With 17 years of nursing experience, I am proud to serve as a Children's Nurse at Little Lights Baby Hospice. The majority of my career was spent caring for critically ill children on the High Dependency Unit at Alder Hey Children's Hospital, but for almost 5 years, Little Lights has been my home. What I love most about hospice care is the opportunity to provide dedicated one-to-one support, building meaningful relationships with both the children and their families.
I have worked for Little Lights Liverpool since 2017, and I continue to love everything about what we do. In my admin role, I have the privilege of seeing all aspects of our service, from managing referrals and arranging respite dates to supporting families throughout their journey with us.
I am a paediatric nurse with 22 years of experience, including previous experience working in paediatric oncology. I have devoted my career to supporting children and their families through life's most challenging moments. For the past 17 years, I have proudly been a part of the team at Little Lights Baby Hospice, where I work as a Nursing Sister and Referral Lead.
I am a Paediatric Nurse and Nursing Sister with 18 years of experience working at Little Lights Baby Hospice. After qualifying as a Paediatric Nurse in 2008, I began my career at Little Lights, where I have had the privilege of caring for babies and supporting their families through some of the most challenging and emotional times in their lives.
I am Caroline and I work as a Nursing Sister at Little Lights Baby Hospice. During the 9 years I've been part of the organisation, I have had the privilege of supporting babies, children, and their families through some of the most challenging and emotional times of their lives. My role involves helping lead and support a dedicated team of nurses and experienced healthcare assistants, while ensuring that every child receives the highest standard of compassionate care that they deserve.
From our nurses and therapists, our care and family services team, income generation, volunteers and colleagues behind the scenes, everyone at Little Lights Liverpool plays an important part in making sure families receive the care, comfort and compassion they deserve.
Together, we create a place where children can be children, families can spend precious time together and no one has to face their journey alone.
We work closely with hospitals, community healthcare teams, schools, businesses and supporters across our region to ensure families receive the very best care and support.
