For more than 30 years, our hospice has been a place of comfort, care and support for babies, children and families facing the most challenging circumstances.
The hospice first opened in Liverpool in 1995 and was founded by Professor Jack Scarisbric who identified that many babies and young children with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions were in need of specialist care.
Named Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice we became a lifeline for thousands of families across the region, providing specialist respite, palliative and end-of-life care in a warm, home-from-home environment.
In 2025, following an unprecedented community campaign that secured the hospice’s future, a new chapter began. The hospice was renamed Little Lights Liverpool, reflecting both its independent future and its continued commitment to the children and families it serves.
Today, Little Lights Liverpool Baby Hospice proudly builds on the legacy of Liverpool Zoe’s Place while looking ahead to an exciting new chapter. As we develop a new state-of-the-art hospice and expand our services, our purpose remains unchanged: to provide exceptional care, create precious memories, and support every family with compassion, dignity and joy.
