A new name, but the same care, the same people and the same commitment to local families.

We’re delighted to officially begin our next chapter as Little Lights Liverpool Baby Hospice.

For more than 30 years, our hospice has been part of the Liverpool community, providing specialist care, respite and support for babies, children and families living with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions.

Many people will know us as Liverpool Zoe’s Place. That name has been part of our story for many years, and we know it holds a special place in the hearts of the families, staff, volunteers and supporters who have been part of our journey.

But as we look to the future, we felt it was time for a new name that could carry our story forward.

Why Little Lights?

Little Lights reflects what we see every day at our hospice.

The small moments that matter. A smile. A cuddle. A favourite song. Time together as a family. A birthday. A day of play. A quiet moment when a parent can simply be with their child.

Little Lights was suggested by Amelia, a pupil at St Paul’s Primary School in West Derby, and it captured everything we wanted our new name to represent: hope, love and the light each child brings into the lives of those around them.

The care stays the same

While our name and identity have changed, the heart of our hospice has not.

Our dedicated team continues to provide specialist paediatric palliative care, respite and short breaks, symptom management, end-of-life care and ongoing support for children and their families.

Our doors remain open to the families who need us, and our commitment to providing compassionate, specialist care remains at the centre of everything we do.

For families who have known us as Liverpool Zoe’s Place, this is still their hospice.

Building our future

The change to Little Lights comes at an exciting time for our charity.

We’re building a new, purpose-built hospice at Hayman’s Green in West Derby, designed around the needs of the babies, children and families we support.

The new hospice will give us more space and facilities, including eight bedrooms, dedicated Snowdrop suites, therapy and play spaces, a hydrotherapy pool and areas designed to support the whole family.

It represents our commitment to being here for local families for many years to come.

A new chapter, together

Little Lights was born from a community that came together to protect children’s hospice care in Liverpool.

That sense of community remains at the heart of who we are.

Whether you have supported us for years, have only recently discovered our work, have volunteered, fundraised, worked with us or simply shared our story, you are part of this journey.

So, while you may see a new name, a new logo and a new website, you’ll still find the same people, the same care and the same purpose at the heart of our hospice.

Liverpool Zoe’s Place is now Little Lights Liverpool.

The name has changed.

The care continues.

And our next chapter is just beginning.
